For some strange reason I am oddly fascinated with movie!Ed's coat...

I don't know what it is but I can't stop looking at this bit of cosplay on eBay! It's so weird. I have absolutely no desire to ever cosplay movie!Ed (I couldn't pull it off even if I wanted to no matter how hard I tried) but I keep looking for and comparing prices for it on eBay! It's just an ordinary brown coat, nothing flashy or spectacular about it, and yet, for some reason, I want one. Just the coat. I don't want the rest of the outfit (pants, shirt, vest, etc) that comes with it, just the coat. How utterly bizarre is that! I'm not even a huge fan of the movie and yet....me wants coat! This is utterly ridiculous. Why am I considering paying $100 (approximately) for something I'll more than likely never wear? It's not like you can't use cosplay items for real life every day wear or anything. *sigh* This is just one more sign that I'm slowly getting crazier every day. :(

No way, I was totally like that with Soubi's coat from Loveless. I just really, really wanted it, even though I wouldn't ever be able to cosplay him! But [luckily?] for me, most cosplay costumes don't come in my size. And paying to have something custom made is WAY out of my budget. But I used to stare at pics of the coat on ebay, too...!

I know what you mean I have been "tempted" but nothing ever comes in my size so that is a good thing ^^; maybe ... of course I'd have to find a really good seamstress to replace mine if I ever decide to do this but so far, nope no desire to spend the money at this time to cosplay.
