anime debate - Original FMA vs FMA Brotherhood

Two things you should know. One, this guy talks fast which gives him a bit of a lisp. Two, this guy's opinions in no way, shape, or form, are a reflection of my own. I agree with him on some points but the rest? Meh. Not so much. :) We all know what they say about opinions tho right? ^_^

why is brotherhood so popular? it's okay, but the manga? 10x better. I think I may even like the original over brotherhood. the ending of the manga/brohood? terrible, I thought. but whatever, opinions right? I think it is a shame brotherhood fans HAVE to diss 03 because they have never seen it and don't want to bother and so on

I have no idea why Brotherhood is so popular. I guess maybe because it's the last incarnation of FMA that people saw and therefore it sticks out the most in their minds but who knows. :/ For me, there are so many differences between '03 FMA and Brotherhood that you really can't compare them. It's apples to oranges I say. They each told completely different stories in completely different ways, with COMPLETELY different endings no less! :) I was way WAY more emotionally invested in '03 FMA than I ever was in Brotherhood. I've bitched and railed about CoS a hundred times I'm sure but even so, emotionally devastating endings of both '03 FMA and CoS aside, I was still left wanting more. Not so with Brotherhood. '03 FMA gave you the impression that it could go on for ten seasons and you'd never tire of it; there was just SO much story left to tell! (Thank God for fanfics right? ^_^) Brotherhood? meh. Roll credits, call it a day. :/ I don't know how she did it but when Cow slapped "The End" on the end of the manga, she meant just that. THE. END. That BS proposal shit was just insult to injury. :p

Oh! Forgot to mention. If you watch this on YouTube, there are people in the comments who say they love Brotherhood but never watched, or only watched an episode or two of, Original FMA. How the HELL can you cheer Brotherhood when you have absolutely NOTHING to compare it to?? IDIOTS!! >.<
