You noticed that Vic seems positively OBSESSED with Todd's...er...toddhood. It's one penis joke after another. That's pretty damned juvenile. And Peter Jackson ought to seek damages because of how much unedited footage is being used. This isn't funny like the Jack Black parody...it's just...juvenile. And dressing up his 'girlfriend' as Gimli--well...do a Google on the slang term "Beard" and you'll see there's an unintentional joke here:

I KNOW! Jeez, enough already. I will admit tho that that one scene when he touched the Toddhood to escape the Aragorn wannabe and the scene with "Mr Vodo" falling on top of and rolling around on "Samwise" had me on the floor! Suuuuure you don't like teh gay Mr Vodo! XDDDDD Beard for the win btw! ^_^
You know, I was wondering thru the whole thing (when I wasn't laughing at the utter absurdity of it all!) if he'd gotten permission to use that footage. If not, shame on you Mr Vodo! How hard would I laugh if he got ordered to take it down! XDDD
Let's put it this way: I'm a filk musician. Parody is a big part of what I do. There are actual laws in copyright infringement that govern exactly how much of the original artist's content can be in a parody song--plus there's the issue of artistic license--it controls what I can put on a CD. I actually have to get a release from an artist or pay a royalty fee if some of my music is put on a CD or sold for profit if I'm using someone else' tunes. I actually DO have to answer to ASCAP and we do panels on this at music cons. Vic used SO MUCH original footage that he'd better hope to hell Peter Jackson has a sense of humor. I've heard that he doesn't. There is too much actual film footage in there, although the parody bits are okay...using the original score is also not okay. I hope Vic talked to his lawyers just in case...
